Overview
Using visual effects comedy, animation and video remix techniques to transform existing content into unique new creations, commercially and satirically.
We live in a world where thousands of hours of content are produced and uploaded to the internet every minute. Video content creation has become conversational where content is manipulated and re-released as reactionary satirical memes, senseless comedy, and biting social commentary. Video remix and comedic visual effects has become a dominant part of the social conversation. Nick has carved a career out of remixing existing content commercially in film, television, advertising and web. He will present unique work in these fields and discuss the technical, and creative approach to transforming and repurposing content commercially along with the creative, technical and legal challenges that arise when working with existing mainstream content. Most of his work is pretty sensational and ridiculous so hopefully it is as entertaining as it is informative.
