Love it or loathe it, the selfie is what you might call the common denominator of self-expression in the digital age. By examining the phenomenon of the selfie, can we reveal a deeper understanding of the digital culture that surrounds, supports and surveils us? How can cultural inquiry be used to inspire, implicate and inform an independent creative practice?
