Overview

Back in 2012, augmented reality wasn’t a thing; two graphic design students decided to create a short film that will showcase the future – where augmented reality contact lenses have replaced smartphones. That short film is called ‘Sight’ and it has impacted the AR industry deeply. Sight has drawn over 5 million views, depicting a vivid and – some would say – a terrifying glimpse into our future. Later this year – Sight’s original creators are going to release a feature length version: Sight:Extended.

This talk will revolve around the arduous journey of creating their very own feature film, and about the process of visually crafting a futuristic world. What does a world ruled by augmented reality contact lenses look like? How does it affect our lives, relationships, and our very humanity?
