Overview
The “joy” of order? Seriously? Isn’t “order” practically the number one ingredient of all things boring? Didn’t our parents work hard so we can live in these beautifully chaotic times where everything is in constant flow and we can embrace in creative chaos? Well, yes and no. Chaos and order are just two sides of the same coin. Actually, one needs the other so we can truly appreciate their very different qualities.
In this talk, Mario will try to give some insight into what order really is in the first place, how to find it, and what you can use it for. He’ll show various techniques of data analysis, clustering, machine learning, image classification and data visualization – many of which do not necessitate a scientific or mathematical background to experiment and have fun with. And no worries – this session will not be code-heavy but is rather supposed to direct your gaze to a fascinating field of data and hopefully inspire exploration into this world.
