Overview

Interested in Flex but not sure how to get started? This session will cover basic Flex programming concepts and how they relate to other technologies like ColdFusion, PHP, and Flash. You will get a guided tour of Flex Builder, Adobe’s IDE for building Flex applications, which we’ll use to create a simple user interface with MXML and connect to a service using Flex RPC services. We’ll walk through the IDE’s project system, code editing features and debugging. A high level overview of Apollo, the cross-platform runtime being developed by Adobe, may also be covered.
