Overview
Early versions of Flash provided a unique environment for designers; one where they could easily explore a close integration between design and code. As Flash becomes a more and more robust environment for application development, fewer and fewer designers are getting their feet wet with ActionScript. A seemingly more complicated scripting interface, hundreds of new commands to learn and something bizarre called ‘OOP’ has made the Actions window a fairly scary place to visit. In this workshop, we’ll take a look at ActionScript from a designers perspective; and see how a solid foundation in Object Oriented can actually make the dive into scripting easier for designers.
