Overview

Migrate from using ActionScript 2 to ActionScript 3 quickly and efficiently to leverage the new features and performance of the language. This session will adopt a how-to approach by examining common developer tasks, show how to migrate or translate them to ActionScript 3 and compare the differences in the code.

Who this presentation is for:

Developers with a fundamental knowledge of ActionScript 2 who want to start using ActionScript 3.

What attendees will walk away with:
A basic knowledge of ActionScript3 and the ability to start integrating it into their workflow. They will have several code samples that translate the same task from AS2 to AS3 and will acquire the knowledge to move forward having learned the subtle differences as it applies to what they already know and use.
