Overview

Take a break. Take a break from iOS, Android, HTML5 – JQuery Mobile, HP/WebOS, AIR, FLEX, Windows Phone, and so on. Sit, relax and meet Todd Chandler and Jeff Stark who created one of the world¹s first drive-in movie theatres made up of wrecked cars and salvaged materials. A large-scale multimedia installation and programming platform constructed for the 01SJ Biennial in San Jose, California in 2010, Empire Drive-in is an example of how we need to rethink what our notion of screen culture could be. This intimate and interactive conversation, hosted by CFC Media Lab¹s Ana Serrano will tease out how programmers and developers can be inspired by the unique, participatory, platform agnostic yet technology-enabled artistic interventions of two of the most exciting artists in Brooklyn today.
