Ryosuke Aoike graduated from the Visual Planning Department at the Osaka University of the Arts in 1995 with a specialization in Film Production and Psychology. He relocated to Montréal to work as an Assistant Producer at Aska Films, then moved to Zuno Films to take a position as the company’s Creative Director. Ryosuke began his animation career while at Zuno, creating the first Catman series which aired on Shockwave Japan to great acclaim . The second Catman series was co-produced by Zuno and AtomShockwaveKK, and won a Tokyo Digital Advertising Award as well as the GRAFIKA Magazine 2004 Grand Prix for Digital Animation. His most recent animation series, PERESTROIKA, will air in Japan later in 2005 and his latest animation project, GHOST STOREYS, is a collaboration with sound artist David Kristian for COCOSOL1DC1T1.
