Molly Schwartz’s professional and artistic work combine technology, art and a love of drawing. She creates immersive expeditions – informal narratives traveling through aerial, arboreal and aquatic worlds of curious perspective. She shows her animated videos, drawings and interactive works in public art installations, exhibitions and festivals worldwide.
Schwartz was born in New York City and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has lived in Chicago, Kathmandu, Los Angeles, Turin, and since 1999, Brooklyn. She has her BFA in Painting from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her MPS from New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program, where she was also awarded a Research Residency.
She is an adjunct professor at NYU and freelances creating design, animation and special effects for documentary films and television.
