Leo Mateus is a Creative Director based in Toronto, Canada, currently leading and mentoring directors and design teams at Tendril Studio. With a passion for design and projects that revolve around personal expression, Leo specializes in animation, AR, and design systems, having worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Microsoft, Apple, Meta, and Flipgrid.
With over 15 years of experience under his belt, Leo’s ability to build strong relationships with his clients has resulted in a loyal client base that continues to return to the studio, making him a trusted and valued partner in the industry.
Aside from his work at Tendril, he’s also an avid mentor and content creator under the alias Ghostpaper. Through his teachings, Leo inspires and educates artists and creatives on the importance of sketching in Procreate as a means of expressing ideas more effectively, moving away from the traditional back-of-the-napkin sketches.
