Justin Cone has spent 25 years at the intersection of design, technology, and culture, working as a designer, strategist, writer, and community builder. Throughout his career, he has focused on creating platforms that champion creative work and the people behind it.
He is currently the Head of Community and Co-Founder of Frame Rate, a new video hosting platform and creative community. Previously, he served as Executive Director of Communications for BUCK and Residence, where he oversaw brand, marketing, and thought leadership across a global network of creative companies. In addition, he has held roles at NBCUniversal, Gensler, Psyop, Adobe, Apple, and SCAD, working as a designer, strategist, writer, developer, educator, and leader. His work has supported and shaped projects for brands including Coca-Cola, AT&T, OpenAI, and Citibank.
Earlier in his career, Justin co-founded Motionographer, the F5 festival, and The Motion Awards, helping elevate motion design as a global creative discipline and championing emerging voices across fields. He has spoken internationally about design’s impact on culture and creativity, and has served on juries for the Art Directors Club, AIGA, Type Directors Club, and the Association of Independent Commercial Producers.
