Elvira is a creative director at the exhibition and media design firm Local Projects, where she also heads the department for visual experience design. She is most passionate about shaping creative processes and mentoring talent while looking for powerful concepts that enrich our environments with meaning, beauty and surprise.
The Spanish-Austrian blend is experienced in stewarding projects at the intersection of brands, media and environments and she is most excited about working with aspirational thinkers and progressive doers from different fields of expertise. She has worked internationally with prominent museums and galleries, cultural and governmental institutions, universities, publishers, architects, and global brands.
Elle was a creative director at Imprint Projects NYC and the creative director for the brands and environments team at Bruce Mau Design in Toronto. Prior to moving to North America she was a partner at the internationally recognized graphic design studio Blotto Design in Berlin and a freelance art director for Meiré und Meiré.
Elle holds a Masters in Media Communications-Design from the University of Applied Sciences Vorarlberg and taught typography and editorial design at the University of Arts in Berlin and at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. She won several design awards, acted as a jury member for design competitions, and her work is part of the collection of the Museum of Design in Zurich, Switzerland.
