Ali Abdaal is a YouTuber, podcaster, entrepreneur, and online teacher. After graduating from medical school at the University of Cambridge in 2018, he worked as a doctor for two years. He now lives in London and is writing his first non-fiction book, which is due to be published by Penguin Random House in 2023.

Ali started his YouTube journey in 2017, making videos about study techniques and his medical school experience. The channel grew dramatically over the next two years, and began to cover broader topics like productivity, wealth, and leading a happier, more fulfilled life. Ali currently has over two million subscribers, a total of almost 150M views, and posts new videos every week.

His new podcast Deep Dive with Ali Abdaal debuted at #1 in Education on the Apple Podcasts charts. Each episode, Ali delves into the mind of his guest, exploring their journey towards finding joy and fulfilment. Ali also co-hosts the podcast Not Overthinking with his brother Taimur. It’s a discussion filled with laughter, razzing, and an exploration of the human condition (sometimes with a guest, like Justin Kan). Ali has been a guest on several podcasts including The Diary of a CEO, Noah Kagan Presents, and The Daily Stoic.

Ali runs several online courses on topic including video editing, revision skills, and entrepreneurship. His course list includes the hugely successful Part-Time YouTuber Academy, a cohort-based, 6-week live online course. In it, Ali teaches hundreds of students how to grow their YouTube channel into a sustainable, income-generating side hustle. The course has now run four cohorts and has almost 2000 alumni from all over the world.

While studying at Cambridge, Ali founded a company called 6med. Helping thousands of students each year to apply to medical school and pass their UCAT, BMAT exams, the company also gives out a significant amount of bursaries to students from low-income backgrounds.

Ali shares productivity tips and practical life advice in his weekly newsletter Sunday Snippets, and regularly posts articles and book summaries on his website.
