Overview
United Visual Artists are a British-based collective whose current practice spans permanent architectural installation, live performance and responsive installation. Coming from a background in architecture, Chris formed UVA in 2002 and is Production Director.
From their first shows with Massive Attack to their most recent work here in Toronto, UVA have used light as a primary medium to sculpt environments. During his presentation at FITC, Chris will give a historical overview of the practice, whilst showcasing a selection of UVA’s early work and the process in which the works were created. He will highlight how the development of core requirements has shaped the evolution of UVA and how the merging of content design, production design and software design are key to UVA’s methodology.
This presentation is for anyone interested in live performance, public art, business development, strategy, and working in a team.
