Overview
Advances in consumer hardware, the democratization of creative software, and Generative AI are enabling a rapidly growing “creator” audience. Competition between users and agencies for engagement has never been fiercer than it is right now, and it will never be as forgiving ever again.
And it’s a good thing for designers everywhere.
This is a conversation for everyone, shared by presenter and self-taught creative Toren Reaves. In 2020, Toren founded the first black-owned and operated creative agency in his hometown, Rochester NY. Today, he works at Adobe as an “Evangelist,” spotlighting and developing aspiring professional creatives from underserved communities.
Objective
Toren shares his experiences through homelessness to working for one of the largest creative companies in the world; insights on breaking into the industry; KPI-informed creative strategies; and the potential of generative AI to address economic disparities – all, while designing live on stage.
