Overview
ロサンゼルスに本拠地を置くGary Baseman氏は、絵画、パフォーマンス、映画、ファッションを通して、「甘く切ない人生の美しさ」を探求しています。現在、COACHのスプリングコレクションに向けてready-to-wear（すぐに着られる）をコンセプトとしたコラボレーション作業、Baseman一家の足跡をたどるドキュメンタリー、「Mythical Creatures（神話の生き物）」をはじめとするプロジェクトに携わっています。また、2013年に米国から始まった移動回顧展は、2015年3月には上海のK11 Art Museumで開催されました。
The Door is Always Open
Los Angeles-based Gary Baseman explores the “beauty of the bittersweetness of life” through painting, performance, film and fashion. Current projects include a collaboration with COACH ready-to-wear for the Spring 2015 Collection; a documentary “Mythical Creatures” about his family heritage; and a traveling retrospective that started in the United States in 2013 and continues at the K11 Art Museum in Shanghai through March 2015.
