Overview
Oscar and Emmy-nominated director PES talks about his life in pitching commercials. In particular he’ll talk about how the pitching process has evolved for him since he first started directing commercials in 2004. He’ll share personal anecdotes about recent trends and strategies, as well as share never before seen materials. He’ll even discuss why pitching led him to quit advertising for a few years. PES will also touch on his personal experience balancing the making of his own films with that of directing commercials for hire, and how he finds the art of the spot.
PES has directed recent pitches for his award-winning spot Honda “Paper”, as well as his latest spot for Honda, “The Power of Ridgeline”, which premiered on the Opening Ceremony of the Rio 2016 Olympics.
