What happens when humans and robots make art together? In this talk, artist Sougwen Chung shows how she “taught” her artistic style to a machine, and how machines as catalysts for doubt and uncertainty –rather than narrowly defined ends– can lead to alternative approaches to thinking and collaborating. “What if the future of creativity,” Chung proposes, “isn’t in what it makes, but how it comes together to explore new ways of making?”
