Overview

The impact of Macromedia Flash has caused an explosion of interactive content throughout the internet. It is rare to find a web site that is not without some form of Flash-related interactivity. With the overwhelming amount of Flash development taking place today, it is often a difficult task to define the bounds of what things flash can do, especially when determining how and where to use it in a given project. How does one, in a “flash”, take a look at the latest version of Flash and what it can do This intensive and entertaining session covers the basics of Flash, as well as discusses some of the new capabilities of Flash for media development. If you are new to Flash and want to find out how it works, and what it can do, then this session is for you. An overview of the interface, timelines, symbol creating, and workflow regarding the development processes of Flash projects is covered, all from the viewpoint of making a “Movie”, a la Steven Spielberg. This is an introductory workshop for developers and designers who are looking to expand their skills into Flash, highlighting the latest principles for Flash development.

I encourage participants to contact me prior to the presentation ated@edapostol.com for any questions- as the demonstration is interactive and organic, your queries may find themselves answered “in a flash”!
