Presentation

Overview

In this presentation, Matthew Milan will unpack the concept of the bandwidth problem faced by creatives in today’s AI-enabled digital age. He’ll explore the idea that our cognitive capabilities, our “bandwidth” — our capacity to think, create, and execute — is increasingly under pressure from the vast amount of information, distraction and demand that we encounter. This bandwidth limitation impacts our creative work, from the inception of an idea to its realization. Through this talk, Matthew aims to deepen the audience’s understanding of the bandwidth problem, highlighting the challenges it poses to maintaining creativity and productivity. He will discuss the role of AI not as a replacement solution for our creativity but as a context to augment and extend it, encouraging a conversation on how we might navigate our creative processes within these constraints and get the best out of our new tools.
