FITC Holiday Jam

'tis the season of holiday parties, Christmas parties, work parties, SO MANY PARTIES. So why not add another to the list and kick-off December with your friends from FITC! It's your chance to see familiar faces in everything digital in Toronto - past FITC speakers, volunteers, friends, industry pals and most importantly, YOU are invited!

FITC's partnered with our friends at House of VR and Steam Whistle, along with fun VR demos from Jam3, Globacore and Secret Location to celebrate everything we love about our growing community.

And as a bonus, Dr. Helen Papagiannis will be hosting a book signing for her latest book, Augmented Human, between 7pm and 8pm. Bring your copy of the book or you can purchase at the event to have it signed by Dr. Papagiannis.

Twitter Contest Details!  Win a signed copy of Augmented Human – Winner must be present at the FITC Holiday Jam to pick up their signed copy of the book.  Travel not included in prize.

The event is free to attend but we are asking everyone for a "pay-what-you-can" donation to Canada Learning Code (formerly known as Ladies Learning Code), either online or onsite at the party!

Canada Learning Code is a national not-for-profit organization championing digital literacy education, working nation-wide and across all sectors to equip Canadians with technical skills. To date, the organization has taught over 80,000 learners through their programs, which are offered in over 30 cities across the country.  The organization runs programming for adults, youth and educators through programs Ladies, Girls, Kids, Teens and Teachers Learning Code.  Canada Learning Code’s goal is to create 10 million technology learning experiences for Canadians over the next ten years.  Technical skills are a tool of empowerment, and it is the organization’s mission to ensure that all Canadians - particularly those who are currently underrepresented in the tech sector - have access to learn these critical skills and be active participants in the digital age.

We look forward to seeing you at the FITC Holiday Jam!
