Shelley Simmons is a pioneer in the innovation and interactive entertainment industry.
For the past 23 years, Shelley has led, innovated, produced, and launched over a dozen titles, including 80+ games and mini-games, in partnership with broadcasters such as HBO, BBC, ZDF, CBC and Corus. These projects ranged in genres from multi-player games to mobile apps to online games, and to VR experiences. She has successfully led teams through the high-pressured digital production process at well-known media companies such as marblemedia, The Chocolate Liberation Front, and Jam3. These projects have won Canadian Screen Awards, and one was nominated for an Emmy.
Shelley holds a BFA Honours from York U, a Masters Degree in Design Studies from OCADU in Strategic Foresight and Innovation, a certificate in Interactive Arts and Entertainment from the Canadian Film Centre, and chairs the advisory committee for Seneca’s Honours Bachelor of Design in Interactive Media program.
