A Toronto native, Scott is Chief Architect and Chief of Research at TWG, a leading Internet software company based in Toronto. In 2009, frustrated with the difficulty in sending email from the social applications he was creating, he built a cloud-based email delivery service called PostageApp.
Scott got his start in the fledgling “multimedia” industry, making interactive CD-ROM titles and later made the jump to the very early web, building some of the first database backed applications. Taking a strong interest in being a “full stack” developer, he’s worked at every end of the spectrum, from server hardware and networking through to graphic design and branding.
He recently spoke at the Burlington Ruby Conference on the subject of managing complexity in asynchronous applications.
