Matthew is a designer who specializes in solving complex innovation challenges for organizations, ranging from emerging tech startups to Fortune 500 companies. His firm, Normative designs and executes strategies that manage innovation risks and bring high value opportunities to market. He has been writing and speaking on the impact of AI and computation on business and society for a decade in forums like Fast Company, Forbes and O’Reilly.

Matthew does his best thinking moving down steep mountains at dangerous speeds. He lives in Rossland, home of some of Canada’s most demanding skiing and mountain biking. When he’s not breaking innovation gridlocks or putting himself in harm’s way on the slopes of Red Mountain, you can find him coaching his daughters on the North American Junior Freeski Tour.
