Gord Mackenzie, Director of Interactive Development at McGill, Enlightened Digital Solutions has been working in the field of eLearning and computer-based interactive training for the last decade. A graduate of York University, Gord has a diverse background that includes database design and management, traditional programming, web development, print-based media and face-to-face training. Gord ran his own consulting agency for over 5 years, helping to create digital training and knowledge solutions for clients in the Canadian financial and telecommunications sectors. Gord is an accomplished educator in his own right and has taught in the fields of computer science and interactive design at St. Clair College, York College of IT and Toronto Image Works. In his current role at McGill, Gord leads a diverse team of 20 developers working in the areas of web development, CD-ROM/DVD-ROM development, embedded systems, Win32 programming, Learning Management Systems and Database design. Flash is an important part of McGill’s toolset, and is used extensively to deliver engaging online content to such clients as Daimler-Chrysler, General Moters, Xbox and AT&T Wireless.
