Alex Aylwin lives in Toronto, Ontario and holds a degree of Software Engineering and Society from McMaster university. He currently works at RBC as a Chapter Lead, focused on supporting a community of front-end developers who build exceptional client experiences. His main responsibility is building, mentoring, and supporting high performance teams.
Alex started at RBC in 2012 as a developer building full stack applications in Java on z/OS for RBC’s Online Banking application. In that role, he lead several major initiatives to completely re-design the user experience on the platform. Since then, he’s joined the Omni program as a Front-End Chapter Lead, focused on growing and building the capabilities of developers on the team.
