Presentation

Overview

Online personal profile sites and user avatars are now ubiquitous and the trend is moving from user’s creating these digital representations to their seeking more and better tools to expand how they can express themselves and personalize their “digital world”. Unfortunately a lot of what they are finding are assets of varying (and usually poor) quality.

This presentation will cover our response to this demand with the Toonify Engine. The Toonify Engine is a Flash application that makes Warner Bros. branded assets available for users to manipulate and create printables such as i-pod skins, custom Flash banners for their Myspace page, Desktops and AIM icons and more. The user can add text, upload images and share their artwork with friends and post to the Gallery for others to vote on

The presentation will include an overview of the project from conception to deployment, issues we encountered during development and a demo of the application.
