The Madness of Interaction
Founded on hopes in dreams in 1999, Grupo W used improvisation and enterprising ingenuity to overcome their obstacles and gain international acclaim. Based in a part of Mexico distanced from the major business centres, they began without clients or projects, and the dial-up connection tried not only Groupo W’s will, but their own sanity.
Eight years later, things are pretty much the same. The use of 90% of a budget to hire a renowned animation company, insane file optimization to save 2Mb in a country where people simultaneously download music, use Messenger and their webcams on an already slow Internet connection, are some of the daily forces working against them. Their projects result from the determination to reach global audiences, and the desire to provide quality work for their clients.
