Overview

How can we correct the negative consequences of our own innovation? Our ever-changing world presents unpredictable challenges that may threaten a sustainable and positive future for ourselves and others, and it’s our responsibility to help ensure that we don’t find ourselves in an episode of Black Mirror.

In this immersive roundtable, the Loblaw Digital Human Research team will begin by introducing shell-shocking scenarios from the future that may not be so far fetched. From there, we will work in groups to discuss, debate and attempt to reshape our everyday lives in the face of these challenges. You’ll be guided through collaborative activities that tackle themes like food, finance, and professional well-being that will stretch your critical thinking muscles through creative and purpose-driven problem solving. They’ll throw you a few wild curveballs along the way to keep things exciting. Together, you’ll step back from your assumptions to learn methods that will influence you to be better creative thinkers, and return to your lives with applicable innovation tools.
