Yahoo!’s Flash Map API gives Flash, Flex 2 and JavaScript developers the power to integration custom maps into their own signature application. Charles Freedman, Sr. Flash developer for Yahoo! maps, creator of marketing mashups for “The Da Vinci Code” and “Mission Impossible 3” and author of the upcoming Yahoo! Maps Mashups will walk you through the simple steps of bringing the Map API component to life in your Flash application.
Bring your laptop and code along! Better yet, if you have worked or will be working with the API prior to the presentation, you are invited to submit your mashup to the Yahoo! Gallery . Some entries may be shown as part of the presentation!

Flash and Flex developers and designers looking to leverage the power of maps within their own application or web site. You should have a good understanding of Actionscript. Some experience and understanding of working with APIs is also encouraged.
