Presentation

Overview

Interactive media is becoming more pervasive as new technologies become available to both display and interact with information in our environment. Obscura digital has been solely focused on creating unique, high fidelity, large format digital experiences which live in special contexts, such as skyscrapers, walls, and geodesic domes. This is a mid- to high-level presentation which covers key projects produced at Obscura, describing the philosophy, technology, and logistic details of working beyond the browser. Some technical information will be presented about programming for unusual platforms.

Audience:

Designers, Programmers, and Creative people who are interested in learning about new ways to bring interactive technology out of the desktop and into a physical reality.

Attain:

Hopefully, people will walk away with a sense of inspiration and a new perspective about what’s possible with media. In the future, traditional Flash designers and developers have more opportunities to bring their ideas and expertise to new formats and physical contexts.
