好むと好まざるとに関わらず、自撮りはデジタル時代における自己表現の手段として一般的になりました。自撮り現象を調査することで、私達を取り巻き、サポート、監視するデジタル・カルチャーの理解を深めます。カルチャーの探求により、個々の創造性を刺激、提示、誇示する方法を確認します。
このセッションでは、Sougwen氏が一見関連性がないように思える自撮り、自己認識、スクリーンショット、総合的なプロセスを中心にプレゼンテーションを行います。
Century of the Selfie (Your Mediated Experience)
Love it or loathe it, the selfie is a sort-of common denominator of self-expression in the digital age. By examining the phenomenon of the selfie, can we reveal a deeper understanding of the digital culture that surrounds, supports, and surveils us? How can cultural inquiry be used to inspire, implicate and inform an independent creative practice?
In this talk, Sougwen will narrate a presentation around seemingly unconnected topics: selfies & self identity, screenshots, and her own interdisciplinary process.
