Overview

Together with part 2, this session gives an overview of the functionality for Silverlight applications that is unique to the Windows Phone application platform. Part 1 covers new input paradigms including multi-touch, software keyboard, accelerometer and microphone, as well as the APIs to leverage phone applications like email, phone dialer, contact list, and more.

Audience: This session is for the developer having no experience developing for the Windows Phone 7 platform. Some .NET Framework, C# and Silverlight knowledge recommended.

Attain: Audience will take away how easy it is to build mobile software for Windows Phone 7, the tools available as a mobile developer and the confidence to go out and build their software for Windows Phone 7.
