Tamagui provides an abstraction layer on top of NextJS and React Native, allowing developers to create a single code base entirely in Typescript that runs effectively on iOS, Android and Browser. On the surface, the problem sounds like a “their problem” – can Tamagui achieve the performance and native feel expected by users? But the real challenge might actually be our own application architecture.
In this session, we will stand-up an application on an enterprise trajectory. We want to demonstrate that the complexity and performance of an application is as much an architectural choice and how age-old best practices can save the day. Tamagui could be the JQuery for Hyper Hybrid applications. There’s a lot of room for improvement, and that means breaking changes and the need to write resilient code. So, it’s up to each developer to evolve with the libraries and frameworks to ensure the continued success of their applications as they scale.
Encourage everyone thinking about trying out Hybrid development to jump in. The water is warming up, and the waves make it all that much more exciting and fun.
Three things the audience will takeaway
- Basic blocks for building a hyper hybrid app
- How to minimize divergence using composable/atomic/components
- Tamagui is an evolving solution for creating a hybrid application with a bright future.
