Overview

Android’s recent 1.5 Cupcake update brought some great new features, including the creation of customizable homescreen widgets.

This session will cover the new features of Android 1.5 in depth and proceed to a hands-on session building a Twitter homescreen widget from the ground up.

Audience:
This session assumes some knowledge of Android and prior experience developing for Android or another mobile platform, although it should be suitable for those who attended the earlier Diving Into Android Development session.

Attain:
An understanding of the new App Widget platform and the ability to begin writing your own Android App Widgets.
