Overview
As “Design Thinking” moves beyond buzzword and into practice, business people are looking to be part of the creative process. But in the traditional relationship, the only creativity the client sees is in the final presentation…what would happen if you worked shoulder-to-shoulder with your clients?
After designing with interactive technologies for a couple of decades, Susan LK Gorbet has been travelling the globe for the past three years helping business people think like designers. She has developed workshops on Design Thinking and Facilitation for the sales side of a Fortune 50 software company, and learned a few things about how to make creative collaborations smoother for people who don’t have practice with expansive thinking.
A collaborative design approach can be difficult when half of the room is unnerved by the playful openness needed for powerful ideas. In this talk, Susan will share her recipes for facilitating a successful design session with a business and creative audience. You’ll learn how to guide a mixed group through a couple of hours of productive creative mayhem, including tried-and-true methods to keep CEOs off their phones and the necessary ingredients for a satisfying result.
