Overview
After three years of engineering, Adobe has released Flash Player 9 and the latest update to the ActionScript language, ActionScript 3. ActionScript 3 is one of the most ambitious language updates ever for the Flash Player and introduces numerous new features and performance optimizations.
In this session, attendees will learn about new features in ActionScript 3 and techniques that can be used to improve performance and memory consumption in their applications. This will be accomplished through demonstrations of the performance improvements in sample applications, discussions about the implementation of the ActionScript Virtual Machine, and the viewing of code samples which show the new ActionScript 3 and Flash Player APIs and features.
