Overview
Redefine the way you look at your Flash canvas and your design space. Rather than a rigid 2D stage or fixed space where you position and move your graphics; think of it as a movable viewpoint or window looking out onto a vast 3D space. Manipulate your viewpoint to control your composition. Thomas will discuss and teach several styles of utilizing 3D space and interactivity that will expand your approach to design in the Flash medium.
3D space often disorients the user, so this session will begin with deconstructing problems and challenges of using various user input; such as the mouse, the keyboard, sliders and maps in order to interact with 2D and 3D space. The focus will then shift to teaching techniques & code to create 3D movement of objects & cameras and how it can be applied to specific projects such as interaction with a 3D model, a 3D scene, and a 3D interface.
