For years, browser plugins have been the primary mechanism for playing streaming content over the web. However, plugins like Flash and Silverlight are rapidly losing their install base these days as we move to a post-plugin world. How can we continue to stream our content, when we can’t rely on the plugin model?
In this session Jeff Tapper will explore the options available for plugin-less video on the web, including progressive download, Media Source Extensions and WebRTP, and share his thoughts on where the streaming industry is going.
