Tyler is a creative technologist, design behaviourist, and conceptual problem solver with extensive experience in developing and implementing solutions across traditional and immersive mediums. With an Honours Degree in Graphic Design and a Diploma in Digital Design, he has worked with widely recognized brands, NPOs, small businesses, artists, and community organizations.
As Co-Founder of Futuretalk and Technical Director of Thought Café, Tyler’s enthusiastic approach merges various styles, techniques, and systems, resulting in an optimistic outlook on the potential influence of technology when paired with knowledge and critical thinking.
Currently, Tyler is building Trek, an immersive web-based educational metaverse platform, and its companion tool Thealogue, which utilizes AI to help teachers and students build and explore dynamic learning environments. This pairing maintains a collaborative human focus, providing innovative, engaging, and interactive ways to learn and grow together.
Tyler has been recognized for his work with awards from the Canadian Screen Awards, Webby Awards, W3 Awards, Communicator Awards, RGD, and more. He is an Associate Member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) and the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television.
