Mike Woods is an Emmy and Cannes Grand Prix–winning director, creative director, and executive creative director, known for pioneering real-time, immersive storytelling that brings emerging technology to mass audiences. His work spans AI experiences for the Super Bowl, XR collaborations with Christopher Nolan, Game of Thrones activations, Emmy-winning installations, and award-winning campaigns for brands including Tinder, Baskin Robbins, Google, and KFC. In 2013, he was named to Ad Age’s prestigious Creativity 50 list and in 2020, he achieved a rare AICP Next Awards “Integrated” clean sweep before going on to win a Cannes Grand Prix.
He began his career by founding and leading the Digital and VR departments at Oscar-winning studio Framestore, where he developed groundbreaking real-time animation and motion-capture workflows for Coca-Cola, Beats by Dre, and award-winning immersive experiences for Game of Thrones and Marvel Studios. Since joining m ss ng p eces in 2017, Mike has continued to work at the forefront of experiential technology and has played a key role in the development of the Las Vegas Sphere, serving as 4D Effects Supervisor on Darren Aronofsky’s Postcard from Earth.
