With a background in journalism, media, and law (JD, BA in Professional Communication), she has built her career at the intersection of technology, creative industries, and emerging legal frameworks.

Certified in AI governance (AIGP) and privacy compliance for Europe and Canada (CIPP/E, CIPP/C), Maggie navigates the complex legal landscape where AI meets creative practice. She has served on the Ontario Bar Association Executive for Privacy and Intellectual Property sections, mentored young women through Girls Learning Code, and worked as PR Ambassador for the Luminato Festival of Arts Culture & Creativity. Her experience spanning legal practice, intellectual property (trademarks and copyright) and creative industries informs her approach to emerging issues in AI governance and privacy law.
