Katherine Valenzuela is in the business of imagining better futures, inspired by the power of design to shape understanding and create real change. She is a communication designer, visual storyteller, and founder of The Good Citizen Studio, a small yet mighty design studio that resists the standard definition of good citizenship. Highly experienced in designing meaningful things and experiences that improve lives, she holds a Master’s Degree in Design for Health from OCAD University, where she studied how design can be used to build healthy and thriving communities. She can sincerely say that she doesn’t have a life outside of her work, all-consuming passion that it is, but she enjoys a good conversation and a good (short-distance) race.
