Overview

Alice followed the white rabbit and wound up growing and shrinking to many unusual sizes. Content producers today can end up tumbling like Alice, their stories scattered across screens of all description from enormous to very small. Entertainment content has never been more challenging to create, while simultaneously providing so much promise. Traditional television and film producers are experts in narrative, but now face the additional challenge of having their stories spread across a wide variety of contexts. Add to this changes to the very funding models they count on, new distribution methods, and the journey into interactive production starts to look more like a nightmare than a dream come true.

Tim Willison, owner of Oddly Studios Inc., a comprehensive interactive production studio, will discuss in-depth the challenges inherent in the merging of traditional and interactive productions. Topics will include:
– ten things everyone should know about their interactive partner
– the evolution of the modern production pipeline
– technologies and software allowing greater collaboration than ever before
