It’s great that we now have all of these new web tags available for us to structure our content, but exactly how do we do it? What is the purpose of the <section> tag? Do you really need that <hgroup>? Do I use an <aside> if it is only to hold my <nav>? Can I ditch my Adobe Flash for a <video> yet? Let’s take a look at the updated HTML5 spec. See what’s new, see what they are intended for, and hopefully be able to walk away with a more consistent page structure and context relevant forms.
