Sound Visualization in Nature and in Code
The session should educate and plant the seeds of inspiration. Small ideas exposed as simple physics experiments and in code will give a greater understanding of what sound is in nature and scrape the surface of the potential of Flash for sound visualization. The numbers in the computeSpectrum() byte array will be exposed for what they actually represent. All of those ideas will be stretched laterally in multiple directions giving those in the audience a basis for creating unique and more engaging sound visualizations.
