Overview
With Dave Methvin, President, jQuery Foundation and jQuery core lead.
jQuery has come a long way since its first release in January 2006. In that time, the Internet and web browsers have changed a lot too. Some jQuery features that were state-of-the-web five years ago are best avoided in 2012 if you are looking to build fast, compatible, future-proof, trouble-free web pages. This talk will tell you which features to take out of your jQuery toolbox, why they don’t belong anymore, and what to use instead.
