Overview
Note that this 1/2 day workshop is offered on the pre-event workshop day on Thurs Nov 8 and therefore is only available to those who have ‘The Works’ or the ‘Workshop’ ticket.
This workshop goes beyond CSS basics, providing attendees with several useful tools to use in the real world projects today. We’ll start off by setting up a template that you can use to write your CSS3 and HTML5 projects into, hassle free. After that we’ll study several areas of CSS in detail, including advanced tricks and CSS3 modules. We’ll look at CSS3 bling (for example gradients and box-shadows), responsive design, web fonts, and using fonts as icons, positioning, transforms and animation, providing fallbacks to older browsers, and more. All you’ll need is a laptop with the latest browsers installed, and a text editor.
