Overview
As digital technology becomes more and more ingrained in our daily lives, it will become increasingly important that the next generation of consumers and employees, regardless of their vocation, to be digital literate. One solution would be to start teaching basic coding to children in school, but how do we do that without putting a strain on the current education system’s budget and without having to invest in training teachers?
Join us for a challenging and fun competition that aims to find a way to teach elementary school students across Canada basic web coding skills. Developers and UX/UI Designers, compete against your peers to create a basic outline for a web, app or other digital solution. Pitch your solution to a panel of UX and tech leaders who will choose the ultimate winner!
Judges include
- Kurt Krumme, UX Lead, Idea Couture
- Tommy Lewis, Technical Evangelism Manager, Microsoft Canada
- Rick Mason, Senior Web Developer, Relish Interactive
- Clare Meridew, Executive Creative Director, Smith.
- Cindy Xiao, UX Manager, Deloitte Digital
Participants are welcome to utilize their laptops and other devices during the competition.
